JC Ferrero is back with longish hair and a white headband. Looks like he has decided to align his look with the rest of the Spaniards in a bid to regain his place as King of Clay. He seems more slender than ever and you would doubt that he could pack any sort of punch into his swings. He's just beaten that giant Marat Safin though. 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. Safin sure has temper with him. Challenging a line call, he climbed up the umpire's chair, arguing, with their faces probably 5 cm apart. Wonder what he's like off-court.

Rolling on are Federer and Coria. Fed trounced Berdych 6-2, 6-1, revenge for his loss at the Olympics. Coria won 6-2, 6-3 over Youhzny. All going as planned.
