Dirt #1 - Freakin Frenchies
Hail Kiefer for not crumbling to the pressure of the crowd cheering their homey, Clement, on. They jeered his questioning suspiciously-out looking balls that were not called and clapped enthusiastically everytime he missed a shot. He reveled in their displeasure and blew kisses when he eventually won the 5-setter, probably muttering 'screw you very much' as he waved and grinned at the crowd.
Dirt #2 - Battle of the Bods
Mauresmo must be pleased that she had been handed opponents she can steamroll pass so far. The last one was a 15-year old scrawny local girl who has Mauresmo's poster hanging in her room. Just another small (French) fry to devour. If Mauresmo beats her next opponent, 29th seed Ivanovic, and Schiavone scares Groenefeld away with her unearthly grunts, there will finally be an even match. Mano-e-mano.
