End of Days

What was the point ..? After Rafa dropped out, Shanghai was bleak and sordid. In the end, even Federer couldn't save the event by losing to Nalbandian in a long, increasingly sorry (for Roger) 5-setter. The end of 2005.

Another Orange Crush

It's on in Shanghai !

Woah, check out the skin-tight orange tee Coria has on. Could probably rival the tights the King of Cosmos has on him. And those black stripes on his shoulder, what the heck are those ? Looks suspiciously like black masking tape. Unleashing his creativity in the locker room while waiting for his turn on the courts, maybe. Sadly, all that failed to deter Ljubicic's concentration any and he lost a crushing 6-2, 6-3.

Federer won in 3 sets against Nalbandian. For him, that must signal a loosening grip on his dominance in tennis.

Later today, Rafa will play Gaudio, whose latest hair muse is my grandma.

Short Cuts

So, who else but Roger Federer could have won that US Open title huh. Kim Clijsters won the women's title, and she thanked Brian. That would be this man, her current squeeze.

Lleyton who ?

It's strange to put a little-known basketball player from Bree on a site cooked up for Nadal and tennis in general, but the masses (used very lightly here) have spoken. From the web searches that lands people here, I gather that there's a market for information on who Rafael Nadal's dating, what Coria's wife looks like and the latest off-court gossip. If Rafa is dating anyone, I'll hunt her photo down relentlessly. As yet, I've found nada, so all aspiring Mrs Nadals (or Mr Nadals..) out there, there's still a chance you might be the one.

In the meanwhile, I had a case of tennis overdose after the US Open and laid off it with the intention of catching the final showdown of the Tennis Masters Cup with exuberant enthusiasm again.
