French Open Day Five Results - Men
Hype surrounding the match between Rafael Nadal and Richard Gasquet reached a feverish pitch, mainly due to the belief of the French media that their boy could be the one to bring Rafa down. It turned out a one-sided affair, with Rafa trouncing the wilting flower Richard mercilessly. It was a blast to watch the crowd being silenced for a change. Fernando Gonzalez looked like a threat on paper for Roger Federer but on court, it wasn't a problem. Moya was almost bundled out, losing focus completely in the 3rd and 4th set and finally waking from his sleep-playing to win the deciding 5th set. Gaudio won, but it won't be much longer before he gives up when he meets someone closer to his seeding.
