French Open Day Five Results - Women
Kim Clijsters looks like a strong contender for the championship this year although she said she isn't 100% fit. Her next match with Lindsay Davenport should be a test, but looking at the way each is playing so far, Clijsters should triumph. Davenport had to once again, play a 3-setter for her weak win. The biggest upset was a 15-year old Bulgarian girl bundling Venus Williams out. The days of the Williams' sisters dominance is long over. Youth prevails, except at Court Chatrier, where the crowd and Mary Pierce bullied Vera Zvonareva to tears, leading to the win of an irritating, out-of-shape woman who insists that her opponents wait for her while she adjusts her ponytail whenever she pleases. The girl who still doesn't know the existence of hair conditioners, Patty Schnyder, beat Flavia Pennetta, the Italian girlfriend of Moya.
