French Open Day Six Results

Missed a chunk of tennis action but had a bellyful of good food and company at an old classmate's wedding. Highlight of the men's section - Guillermo Coria and Tommy Robredo are through to the next round. Hooray. Marat Safin had a tough time bundling out trying-to-comeback-kid JC Ferrero, but he did it in 4 sets.

The French women fell one after another. The country's biggest hope, Mauresmo was beaten by a 29th seed. Beauty, youth and womanhood prevails. On a sad note, we won't get to see the much anticipated Mauresmo-Schiavone match-up. Anna Chakvetadze, who has the unfortunate luck of looking like a younger Mary Pierce, demonstrated the attitude not to have while playing tennis. She always looked on the verge of tears, walked around like she already lost 15 minutes into the game. She looks like the sort who would probably go back to the locker room and give herself a good whipping with her racket while wailing.
